Inclement Weather Updates
All GSU Campuses Will Continue Remote Learning and Modified Operations
Wednesday Jan. 22.
As we noted yesterday, Georgia State has been actively monitoring the winter weather settling into our area and will continue to do so for the duration of the event.
With the safety and security of our faculty, staff and students foremost in our minds, we will continue remote learning and modified operations, and there will be no in-person classes tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Georgia State University’s Atlanta and Perimeter College campuses. All on-campus classes and activities will be moved online. Enrollment services, including advisement, registration and student financial services, will also be moved online.
Our current plan is to resume in-person classes and regular operations Thursday, Jan. 23. We will continue to evaluate the weather and determine if additional modifications are necessary beyond Jan. 22. Please continue to monitor gsu.edu for updates.
Key Information for the
Campus Community
We thank our faculty members for ensuring continuity of instruction during this event by making up for the missed material through alternative means, whether it be online lectures, readings, assignments or other instructional activities clearly communicated to students.
Essential personnel — employees identified by their department or unit as critical to the university's maintenance and operations, particularly those providing essential support to students — should continue to report on time unless conditions prevent safe travel. Essential personnel should contact their supervisors for additional information, and all employees should contact their supervisors about the plan for their areas.
All residence halls will remain open. On-campus residents in University Housing should contact their community front desk or RA with any questions or concerns. If you become aware of any facilities-related problems, please report them. For more information, visit myhousing.gsu.edu.
All dining halls, the Student Recreation Center and the Student Center will remain open, but opening and closing times may be adjusted if weather conditions warrant. For more information, visit these sites: dining.gsu.edu, recreation.gsu.edu and studentcenter.gsu.edu
Libraries will be closed, but resources will be available online at https://library.gsu.edu/.

We are monitoring the GSU women's basketball game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22. Additional updates will be provided on athletics social media accounts.
