Hands-on Opportunities

The Department of Management prides itself on innovation in the classroom. Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of co-curricular activities and classes to gain practical knowledge, develop networks, hone leadership skills, and learn more about the real world.

MGT 3400 - Managing People in Organizations

In teams of six to eight people, students spend the semester raising $250 minimum for a nonprofit organization of their choice. Students must overcome hurdles such as working in a group, maintaining motivation and switching gears when the project doesn’t unfold as planned. Plus, many teams engage with the business community in order to secure fundraising event space. At the end of the course, students present each charity with a check.

Please note: while every section of the above courses might not include exactly the above projects, faculty incorporate real-world learning into the curriculum.BBA
