Communications

Our job in Communications is to know what’s going on at Georgia State and to share it with the world. Our reporters and public relations specialists, each dedicated to a particular discipline, work their campus beats and become trusted partners in helping our faculty, staff, students and alumni gain recognition for their service to the community and contributions to the body of knowledge.

University News

We provide regular and updated information about happenings, research and stories at Georgia State, promoting the university and informing the public and our GSU community about the good works and good news coming out of the state's only public urban research university.

Media Relations

We serve as the liaison between the press and the university, fielding media requests and pitching the good news about what is happening at Georgia State. We also help reporters find expert sources for breaking news and analysis of current events – fast. For help with your story, call 404/413-3025.

Internal Communications

We communicate through the UR Report, press releases and Group Wise announcements to keep the Georgia State community involved. We also produce and distribute The Villager, the university’s monthly campus newsletter.

Publications

Georgia State University Magazine: This glossy, full-color alumni magazine showcases the Georgia State community and its contributions. Published four times a year, the magazine is distributed more than 120,000 alumni, donors and other friends of the university.
