College of Education Instructional Technology Center

The Instructional Technology Center is designed for faculty, students and Pre-K-12 educators, to encourage and support technology confidence and expertise in the areas of teaching, collaboration and consultation.

eTraining

Training from Element K is available on the web with over 450 courses ranging in level from novice to the advanced. This program, called eTraining, is funded by the Student Technology Fee and is available to Georgia State students, faculty and staff at no additional charge. eTraining is accessible anytime and anywhere you have an Internet connection. It can also be downloaded to your PC or laptop for use anywhere.

Office of Finance & Administration

The Office of Finance and Administration offers training to assist faculty and staff with fiscal responsibilities and to strengthen internal controls. Training programs are offered in Financial and Human Resources Systems (PeopleSoft). Web-based training programs are offered in Expenditure Review and the Purchase Card Program.

Management & Staff Development Services

The Management & Staff Development Services offer programs and services in the area of planning, operational research, training and development and quality improvement, in order to enhance the work performance and well-being of a diverse university community.

Opportunity Development/Diversity Education Planning Office

This office provides educational sessions, workshops, trainings, programs and consultations in the areas of compliance, diversity and employee relations. The programs are developed using a proactive approach through presentations on issues related to equal opportunity, affirmative action, diversity in the workplace, sexual harassment and employee relations. The Opportunity Development Resource Center was developed at the request of students, staff and faculty who, for their personal, academic or professional interest, wanted to learn more about these issues.

Facutly and Staff Assistance (FASA)

The Office of Faculty and Staff Assistance is an employee assistance program (EAP) for Georgia State faculty and staff and household members. FASA offers short term counseling and referral services ranging from work related concerns to personal difficulties that affect an individual's everyday life. Training and workshops are also offered related to the well-being of faculty and staff such as stress management, and alcohol and drug awareness.
