Class of: 2009
Hometown and High School: Augusta, GA; Evans High School
Major/Minor: Nursing

I chose to attend Georgia State University because Georgia State is the most diverse university in the state of Georgia. Attending Georgia State University gives me an opportunity to meet different people from different countries. We have students from a variety of places such as China, France, Canada, and Spain. Georgia State University also provides students with various student organization opportunities.

Campus Activities and Organizations: Currently, I am a tour guide at the Welcome Center. I am currently a member of the Lofts Council, Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society, Community of Scholars, GSNS (Georgia State Nursing Students), and NSNA (National Student Nursing Association). I was also a Community Assistant with the Georgia State University Housing Office.

Most Memorable Georgia State experience: I remember last year when I got accepted into the nursing program at the Georgia State. I was so excited that I was on the phone with all my family members and friends to tell them that I had gotten accepted. Also, while on duty as a Community Assistant, I got a page at four in the morning about noise.

If you could be a cartoon character, who would you be and why? I would like to be the cookie monster from Sesame Street because I love cookies.

Favorite Georgia State tradition: Definitely Panther Prowl and Welcome Week. During the Welcome Week, there are always different activities on campus throughout the week.

What advice would you give to incoming students? I would definitely encourage them to try to get involved with different student organizations on campus.

After I graduate from Georgia State, I hope to obtain a job at a hospital, and get my master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
