Latino Student Services and Outreach (LASSO) provides with resources to make the transition from high school to college as smoothly as possible. From scholarship and internship opportunities to volunteering and mentoring, Latino Student Services and Outreach helps students succeed throughout college. The welcoming environment and eventful social gatherings provided by this area build lifelong friendships, offer a linkage to great networking opportunities, and plays an important role in extending your academic and leadership skills.
The summit is focused on providing resources to enable Latino college students to develop a leadership path towards success. It is free and open to Hispanic/Latino students at Georgia State University, as well as those students who are inrolled in college and univeristies throughout the state. The Mentor Program, Latinos on the Fast Lane is geared toward Latino freshmen students. Freshmen students are assigned with an upperclass student mentor or a faculty mentor who will guide them for a full academic year. The program promotes:
