Campus Events

The First-Year Book Program at Georgia State University does more than encourage students to read.

A wide range of programs and events focusing on themes emerging from Outcasts United will be organized throughout fall semester.

The list below will be regularly updated, so please check often.

June 7-August 18	Incept: New Student Orientation	During Incept, every first-year student will be presented with a copy of Outcasts United. Students are expected to read the book by the first day of class.
August 22	Freshman Convocation	Warren St. John will deliver the keynote address during Freshman Convocation.
August 23	Groups	Warren St. John will lead groups in discussion about leadership and diversity.
TBD	Faculty Panel
TBD	Field Trip	A group of Georgia State students, faculty, and staff will attend a soccer game by the Fugees.
