The mission of the Student Media Department is to advance three purposes:
Providing Quality Content
Georgia State Student Media participants are asked to produce high-quality programming, whether it be print, audio or video. These contributions include news, editorial, fiction, and music programming. Georgia State Student Media solicits work from across the world while also showcasing the considerable talents of the students themselves.
Reflecting the State of the Campus
Georgia State Media strives to be informative. Through advertisement, public service announcements and news stories, it informs students about on-campus events.
Preparing Students
Georgia State Student Media gets students looking forward to careers in the world in media. Skills learned in this environment prepare students for careers in radio, journalism, television and scholarly publication.
