Georgia State student media profiles local musicians and writers. New South provides a number of readings featuring its volunteers and other members of the Georgia State English department and Atlanta English community. WRAS frequently features local bands in its regular rotation as well as on the weekly Wednesday evening program, the Georgia Music Show. The annual WRASFest benefit (held each December) also features local music artists. Additionally, GSTV provides interviews of local artists.
Georgia State student media also profiles cutting-edge artists from across the United States. WRAS-Atlanta is celebrated by the College Media Journal for providing an up-to-date rotation emulated by stations across the United States. Both The Signal and GSTV feature movie, television and CD reviews. New South solicits contributions from the best writers from across the United States and beyond.
