About Us
The Student*University Center is comprised of two buildings, the Student Center and the University Center. The combined facility is a focal point for the social, recreational and cultural life of the diverse Georgia State University community.
Known as the campus meeting place, the center is a convenient spot for students, faculty and staff to study, socialize, eat, shop, bank, enjoy performances and events, watch movies and television, view art exhibits, attend meetings and learn about campus life. It also offers more than 28,000 square feet of meeting and event space — including a 425-seat auditorium and spacious ballroom — that may be reserved for seminars, conferences, lectures, receptions, banquets, concerts and other functions.
More than just buildings, the Student*University Center encompasses six program areas that offer events and services to enhance university life and education — Campus Events, Leadership Development, Spotlight Programs Board, Student Media, Student Organizations and the annual Miss Georgia State University Scholarship Pageant. The center is the venue for many of their events and activities, as well as those of the student organizations and services that make their home in the complex.
