State Ballroom & Salons
The multipurpose State Ballroom on the first floor of the Student Center has a seating capacity of 950 for a lecture or 615 for a banquet. To accommodate smaller functions, the State Ballroom can be divided into three separate rooms — the Court, House and Senate salons — and two combination spaces — Court Salon/House Salon and House Salon/Senate Salon. Each section of the room is equipped with independent sound capabilities.
Speaker’s Auditorium
This 425-seat auditorium on the lobby level of the Student Center is equipped with rear projection and a comprehensive sound system.
Golden Key Board Room
This board room on the second floor of the Student Center can accommodate 18 seats around the table plus 16 seats around the room’s perimeter. Built-in audiovisual equipment, rich room furnishings and a private reception area are elements that enhance individual meetings. The executive design and furnishing for the meeting environment were made possible by a generous donation from the Golden Key International Honour Society, which was founded by a Georgia State University alumnus.
VIP Room
Distinctively decorated and arranged for a quaint reception or special meeting, this room on the second floor of the University Center can host special receptions for around 40 people.
General Meeting Rooms
General meeting rooms include the Capital, Caucus, Dalton, Dorchester, Lanier, Lucerne and Sinclair suites on the second floor of the Student Center and several rooms on the second and fourth floors of the University Center. Some rooms in the University Center can be combined into larger spaces. Seating capacities range from 15 to 80 people per room. Access to audiovisual equipment enables these rooms to accommodate a variety of events.
Gallery Lounge
Both a lounge and an art exhibition space, the L-shaped Gallery Lounge on the third floor of the Student Center is a comfortable, relaxed, enclosed area that may be reserved for receptions. In addition, GSU students, faculty, staff, organizations and departments may apply to exhibit artwork or sponsor an exhibit in the space.
