Career Workshop: A Workshop for GSU Parents

The GSU Parents Association in collaboration with University Career Services and Parent Relations is proud to announce the 2012 Parent Career Workshop scheduled for Saturday, March 31. This annual event will focus on how parents and families can support their student through the career selection process as well as alerting parents and families of the many career and job related services Georgia State has to offer the campus community.

This workshop is a 1/2 day event which is free to all GSU parents and families.  Dr. Kevin Gaw, Director of University Career Services, will give the keynote address which will focus on “The Career Plan and Your Student’s Career Success”.  After Dr. Gaw’s comments, parents can choose from multiple breakout sessions led by Career Services and Parent Relations staff.  Past session topics have included: Graduate School Selection, Co-Curricular Involvement, Internships, and the Career Search.

We hope you will join us for this outstanding event on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Check-in will run from 8 – 9 a.m. with the workshop beginning promptly at 9 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m.   There is no registration fee and lunch is included in the workshop experience.
