PantherPay is Georgia State University's new secure web-based billing and payment system for viewing and paying your student account eBills.
Any transaction that is posted to your student account is billed through PantherPay on the first statement for each term (visit the Billing Information page for specific dates). This includes charges like tuition, mandatory fees, mandatory insurance, housing, and meal plan charges.
For additional transactions not included on the first eBill of the semester, updated eBills will be posted to PantherPay by the fifth business day of the month after the charge is incurred. Full payment of your student account balance is due by the date indicated on your monthly eBill.
Students
Georgia State bills the student and not the parent, so it is important to note that it is the student’s responsibility to check statements (also called eBills) regularly, verify charges and ensure that payments are made on time. Because of Federal privacy laws, parents and others may view eBills and make payments only after the student has set them up as authorized payers (see “Authorized Payers”).
To access PantherPay students need to:
1. Log into PAWS at https://paws.gsu.edu
2. Click on the One Stop Shop tab
3. Click the View/Pay Student Account link in the My Account box
4. Click the PantherPay button
Authorized Payers
When a student designates an authorized payer, this serves as GSU’s FERPA release to provide protected student account information to the person authorized. Students can add or delete Authorized Payers as desiered.
To access PantherPay, Authorized Users need to:
1. Visit the Student Account website at www.gsu.edu/studentaccounts
2. Click on the PantherPay Authorized User Login button on the left side of the page
3. Enter the email address the student used to create your access
4. Enter the password emailed to you from Student Accounts
Up-to-date account activity can be viewed via PantherPay by selecting “Account Activity.” Whether or not you check your student account activity, you are still responsible for payment of the balance by the due date.
Note: Your eBill is a snap shot of your student account transactions as of the date it was generated. Activity and payments made after your eBill was generated will be reflected on the next monthly statement.
