Tuition Assistance Program

The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) is available to full time benefits-eligible employees of the University System of Georgia who have successfully completed at least six (6) months of employment in a benefits-eligible position.  This six month period of employment must be completed by the TAP application deadline for the desired academic semester.

The TAP program offers the opportunity to take up to three credit courses per semester (for most programs), and waives all student fees.  Please read the TAP policy http://www.usg.edu/employment/benefits/tuition/policy.phtml for more detailed information, and before completing your TAP application.

To participate in the TAP program, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Receive admission to any University System of Georgia institution
  2. Submit TAP application to the Benefits office by the TAP registration deadline:

April 15, 2008 - Maymester and Summer
July 15, 2008 - Fall semester

Course registration for TAP participants begins immediately after the end of the regular student registration period.  Please be aware that if you are receiving the HOPE scholarship, you will be ineligible to participate in the TAP program.

To access the TAP application, click on http://www.usg.edu/employment/benefits/tuition/tap_app.pdf (include your Panther ID number on the application).

If you have any question regarding the TAP program, please contact Regina Barnett at (404) 413-3334 or rdbarnett@gsu.edu.
