Staff Scholarship Program

The purpose of the Staff Scholarship Program is to provide one or more scholarship awards annually, given the availability of resources, to staff members of Georgia State. The maximum award amount is $400 per student. Each student can only be awarded one scholarship per academic year.

Staff Scholarship recipients will receive financial support that consists of payments for student fees, books, and other direct educational expenses that relate to the recipients' degree program. The award is routed through payroll and the staff member will receive the money on a regular paycheck with the appropriate taxes withheld.

Eligibility for this scholarship is as follows:

1. The applicant must be a regular, current full-time staff member of Georgia State (no GRA, GTA, student assistant) with a minimum of one year of continuous employment and cannot be on probation for job performance.
2. The applicant must be enrolled in a degree program at Georgia State or another institution of higher education
3. Georgia State students must sign a waiver allowing the Staff Council Office to verify enrollment status and gpa.
4. Staff members attending other institutions must provide some form of verification information at the time the application is submitted (grade report, verification letter with institutional seal, transcript, etc.).

Please use P. O. Box 3966 when sending interoffice or deliver by hand to 125 Aderhold Learning Center. The name of the applicant will be removed when the application is received and a number will be assigned to each application.

2012-2013 Academic Year Deadlines

The deadline for Fall 2012 for submitting your completed application and waiver/verification information for is Friday, August 17, 2012. 

The deadline for Spring 2013 for submitting your completed application and waiver/verification information for is Friday, November 30, 2012.
