The Staff Council is a representative body made up of members from each university administrative unit. Council representatives are elected by their unit peers, and the number of seats apportioned to each unit is determined by its total number of classified employees. You can also access contact information for the council's Board of Officers, the five-person leadership group for the organization, as well as for staff members serving on the University Senate. The Staff Council has responsibility for electing or appointing staff for the ten senate seats alotted to university staff members. Staff members elected to the senate also serve as appointed Staff Council members.
Staff Council representatives are nominated and elected by staff members in their respective districts.
Staff Council has five officer positions that together constitute its Board of Officers.
The University Senate includes ten staff senators, elected by the Staff Council.
