The Staff Council welcomed Georgia State's new president, Dr. Mark P. Becker, at its January meeting. Dr. Becker joined Georgia State University as its 7th president at the beginning of the spring term. The Board of Regents appointed Dr. Becker, who was formerly executive vice president for academic affairs and provost at the University of South Carolina, in late October.
