How long have you worked at Georgia State?
Eight years.
What do you do on a typical day?
I am responsible for ensuring that the second floor of University Center is clean, presentable and stocked with supplies at all times. I also fill in on other floors for employees that are out on sick leave or vacation. Sometimes, I service two floors in one day!
What's your background?
I have lived in Atlanta for about forty years. I am originally from North Carolina. I fall in the middle of one sister who has passed and three brothers who are alive and well in NC. I am the proud mother of three boys. Two living in Atlanta and the youngest serving our country on his second tour of duty in Iraq. I have seven beautiful grandchildren all living in Atlanta except for one.
What do you do when you're not working?
I like to create floral arrangements, window shopping, going to the movies, being a doting grandmother and taking care of my family.
What's your favorite thing in your office?
Since my office is the Student University Center, my favorite thing besides greeting all the smiling faces is my broom and dustpan!
What don't people know about you?
I'm not telling.
If you weren't working at Georgia State, what would your ideal job be?
A greeter or a travel agent.
