How long have you worked at Georgia State?
I have been with GSU for a little over 10 years.
What do you do on a typical day?
On a typical day I will come in at 7:00 and process any media reserve and/or booking requests I have received. Also, throughout the day I will spend hours working on the circulation desk assisting patrons. I will clean and repair media items whenever needed and correspond with faculty when they have questions or concerns.
What's your background?
I spent some time in the USMC in between high school and college. I graduated from GSU with a B.A. in English in 2000 and began working in the library as staff shortly thereafter. Since becoming staff I have pursued a degree in Anthropology and am now close to completing my M.A.
What do you do when you're not working?
When not working I enjoy playing guitar and trying to learn to play piano. I also enjoy practicing Hapkido, although I have not been as consistent as I would like lately.
What's your favorite thing in your office?
My favorite thing in my office is a stuffed hedgehog that sits on a shelf above my computer.
What don't people know about you?
I don't really know what people do know about me; so I can't really say what they don't.
If you weren't working at Georgia State, what would your ideal job be?
If I weren't working at GSU, I think my ideal job would be a writer...or maybe a shepherd.
