Volunteering (or community service) means helping others, usually in a very hands-on and personal way, such as cleaning up a school, tutoring children, or assisting a community service organization. It can also include helping organizations that seek cures or treatments for diseases such as cancer, diabetes, or heart conditions.
Our office also organizes on-campus activities, so frequently you do not even have to leave Georgia State University to volunteer!
If you are ready to serve off-campus, however, we have vast numbers of community organizations that can use your help. These listings are posted in Volunteer Solutions, where you can find opportunities to match your interests, your time, and your chosen location.
We can help you find volunteer programs to support a variety of causes, just visit Volunteer Solutions to get started, or contact us.
The Volunteer Solutions database also helps our office keep track of your good work, so remember to log your hours and post a reflection of your experiences!
