Georgia State University offers an excellent education at an affordable price. Here you will find a guide to the many scholarship resources available to incoming and enrolled students. Scholarships are available to in-state, out-of-state and international students at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Prospective students may use the Scholarships tab on the left-hand side of this page to view the types of scholarships offered at Georgia State. To the right of each scholarship is a brief description of the scholarship and criteria, if available. The contact information of the scholarship coordinator can be accessed by clicking on the scholarship name.
Incoming students who have been officially accepted to the university and currently enrolled students may log-in on the right hand side of this page using their campus ID (i.e. smann5) and password to access available online applications and the contact information of the specific scholarship coordinator. Academic departments and organizations offer various scholarship opportunities. Each department has separate processes and criteria for the scholarships they administer. Please read the individual scholarship description which includes application instructions. To apply for university scholarships, log into the scholarship system using your campus ID and password. Applications will open for the 2012-2013 academic year on December 14, 2012 and close on February 15, 2013. If you are awarded, awards will be posted to your student account and available for the following academic year.
External funding opportunities are available throughout the school year. These opportunities are managed by external organizations, and require that students contact the respective organizations to apply. We encourage you to begin applying for a variety of external opportunities during the peak season (October through April). Prioritize your list of awards, create a schedule for yourself, and post this schedule where you can see it every day.
