Mandatory Student Accident Policy.
Part of the registration fee is applied to the when registering for classes at Georgia State University, This policy provides excess or secondary accident coverage when injured on campus, or during a field trip for academic credit or while participating in other pre-approved covered activities. That means that if you currently have insurance-either your own or through your parents- you must first file a claim with your insurance company. If your insurance does not pay the entire bill, you can then file a claim against the Mandatory Student Accident Policy at Georgia State. If you don’t have any insurance, you can immediately file a claim against this Policy. To do so please click here. Covers each enrolled student athlete while participating in practice or a scheduled competitive event in the GSU Club Sport Program. This policy provides excess coverage. This means it pays secondary if you are covered under a primary insurance plan. If you have another insurance plan, that plan would pay its benefits first. The Club Sports Insurance Policy pays any medical expenses not previously paid by the primary insurance plan. If you do not have any other health insurance, this policy will pay as the primary plan. Touch the Earth Insurance Policy
Covers each enrolled student athlete during a covered Intramural Sport and/or Touch the Earth activity. This policy provides excess coverage for a period up to 104 weeks after the injury. This means it pays secondary if you are covered under a primary insurance plan. If you are covered by another insurance plan, that plan would pay its benefits first. This plan pays any medical expenses not previously paid by the primary insurance plan. If you do not have any other health insurance, this policy pays as the primary plan. Student Group Accident / Health Policy
Complete the Request for Student Insurance Form whenever a student group is going on a field trip; a student program is being implemented for a limited time or a new student program is being developed that requires student accident / health insurance for the participants. After you have filed out the form fax it to the Department of Safety & Risk Management at 404/413-9550 or email it to jsanders26@gsu.edu.
