Incident Reporting

Student Accidents

Student accidents should be reported immediately to insure that the student remains eligible for insurance. If you are involved in an accident, report it to your professor, supervisor, GSU police officer or other GSU employee immediately. In order for an insurance claim to be filed successfully the accident must be witnessed or attested to by a GSU employee. A witness or attestment statement from another student is insufficient for filing an insurance claim. If the injury is severe contact the GSU Police Department at 404/413-3333 or via emergency call box

Faculty or Staff Accidents

Injury to Faculty or Staff should be reported immediately to a supervisor or the department's main office. If the injury is  severe contact the GSU Police Department at 3-3333 or via call box. Further reporting procedures can be found under Workers Compensation.

Property Damage and/or Loss

Any damage to and/or loss of GSU property should be reported immediately to reduce liability and facilitate insurance procedures. Also, damages to vehicles in the parking decks should be reported for investigation and an insurance deternination.
