Narrative:

Major program requirements for all graduate programs are published in the Graduate Catalog. All graduate courses and all program requirements at Georgia State are reviewed by departmental and college curriculum committees prior to approval to ensure that they meet commonly accepted standards and practices. [1] (Cf. Requirement 2.7.2, and Standards 3.4.1 and 3.4.10.)

All academic programs are evaluated once every seven years as part of the Academic Program Review process [2]. This process includes reports from both external and internal peer reviewers, ensuring that all programs conform to commonly accepted standards and practices.  In addition, many programs are reviewed as part of a specialized accreditation conducted by a professional organization [3], whereby commonly accepted standards and practices are ensured.
