The requirements for all graduate programs are described in the Graduate Catalog. As documented in their learning outcomes [1], all graduate programs at Georgia State require students to develop a solid background in the literature of the discipline. These learning outcomes show that every graduate program requires students to engage in research, professional practice, and/or training experiences. The annual assessment reports of each department show that the faculty review the curricula and their teaching practices to ensure that graduate students are meeting these learning outcomes. [2]
