The University Research Centers Administrative Office provides support to Georgia State's newest research collaboratives, university-level research centers. Georgia State's university-level research centers seek to combine the strengths of GSU researchers around specific themes, particularly addressing issues critical to the quality of life in urban centers, with a goal of accelerating its status as a major urban research university. The first new university-level research center, the Center for Inflammation, Immunity & Infection, was established in January 2011.
