Federal Wide Assurance
The Georgia State University Review Board holds a Federalwide Assurance (FWA) of Compliance (number 00000129) with the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP). A assurance is maintained by the IRB Compliance Officer. The GSU IRB is registered with the Office for Human Research Protections under number IRB00000716. The FWA expires 8/19/2012.
Institutional Office
The President of Georgia State University has delegated authority to Dr. Robin Morris, Vice President for Research, as the Institutional Official (IO) for Institutional Review Board purposes. Dr. Morris has the authority to legally commit GSU to meet federal regulatory requirements. The Institutional Official is responsible for appointing the Chair of the Institutional Review Board and board members.
