This document gives instructions on how to work with content blocks on a web page created with the OpenText (RedDot) CMS. There are a wide variety of content blocks, each of which specially tailored to a particular type of content. Choosing the best one in relation to your content will greatly reduce difficulty for others in your group when working with the content on your site.
While each block performs a different function, nearly all of them are created using the same process. For the purposes of this document, you will be creating a Text Block.
For you to complete any of the following steps, your OpenText user account will need to be assigned to at least an Author role. If you find you don’t have access to certain actions, contact your Webmaster to inquire into the role you’ve been assigned.
