Online Reservation Form - SRC/Panthersville

Space in the Student Recreation Center and Panthersville is reserved for chartered student organizations and departments. Please submit requests for practice areas at least 48 hours in advance. For special events, we recommend submitting your request at least 7 days prior to the event. Please allow 2-3 business days to review your request.

Please limit your requests, per organization, to no more than two reservations per week, no more than two hours at a time and for no longer than 4 weeks at a time.

Larger groups may require additional University staffing and/or the University Police. Reservations will be considered only after all departmental scheduling needs are met. A non-refundable usage fee of at least $25 will be assessed on groups requiring set up/break down.

Panthersville: A supervisor is required for the use of Panthersville; there is a $10 per hour fee for the duration of an event.  Additional fees of $10 per/hour per staff needed include but are not limited to score keepers and officials. At the discretion of the Assistant Director for Intramurals, groups of 75 people or more may be required to have 2 or more supervisors on site.

The Department of Recreational Services does NOT provide extension cords, ice, dishes, utensils or staffing for cook-outs. The Department may be able to provide a limited amount of tables and 2 round coolers.

If digital scoreboards are requested there will be a $10 minimum per/hour which will cover the fee per official, supervisor, or scorekeeper.

I, *(person filling out this form; type in full name), have read and understand the above rules. In exchange for the opportunity to utilize Georgia State University facilities for an event sponsored by my organization or department, I agree to be accountable and responsible for the participants at the event described in this form and will use all reasonable efforts to ensure compliance with these and all other Georgia State University policies.

  1. Fees:  All charity events, fundraising events, or reservations/activities requiring set up of tables, chairs, scoreboards, special equipment, etc. to be staged in the lobby, patio, or other area in the SRC will require a set up/take down nonrefundable fee. The minimum fee is $25.00 per reservation. Additional charges will be incurred for larger groups and events. Quotes for additional fees will be provided before the event is confirmed. The gas grill can be provided for up to two hours per event on the Patio or the lawn area. The use of the grill is an additional $25. Private grills are not allowed without permission of the SRC. Equipment available: Limited amount of tables and 2 round coolers. The use of an audio cart may be available for an additional $25. Glass is not allowed on the lawn, patio or in the SRC. Event organizers are fully responsible for additional event decoration and clean up. Events must be concluded 30 minutes prior to the building closing time.

  2. Responsibility for Event: Organizations sponsoring events at the Georgia State University Student Recreation Center or Panthersville are responsible for the conduct of the event participants. A confirmed reservation of a space does not change the existing policies regarding membership to the SRC. Only current students with a Panthercard or SRC members are allowed in the building without an additional charge. All event coordinators are responsible for insuring that all participants have signed a waiver of liability before engaging in their event.

  3. Guests: Fee-paying members are allowed to bring up to 3 guests per day. The fee is $5.00 per guest; per day and guest passes are non-transferable. A member must accompany guests at all times and members are accountable for the conduct of and damages caused by their guests. Guests may not check out equipment. Members must check out and are responsible for equipment used by their guests. Guests from the ages of 8-17 are allowed in the following areas: main gym, omni gym, track, climbing wall, leisure pool, lap pool, game room and racquetball/squash courts. Guests 7 years of age and younger are allowed only in the leisure pool. Failure to comply with all applicable University policies may result in loss of privileges and any other applicable sanctions including, but not limited to, monetary assessment for damages.

  4. Audio Equipment:  The audio equipment in Studio B, Martial Arts Studio, and the Aerobic Dance Studio is for SRC staff use only. If you need audio equipment, your group needs to provide your own system. Please direct questions or concerns to Recreational Services, or on the day of your reservation, please see the supervisor on duty.

  5. Food & Beverages:  Food and beverages in plastic containers are permitted in the lobby, vending area, and outside pool deck area. Water, only in a container with a screw top, is allowed in the Game Room. Plastic bottles with a secured lid or squirt spout may be used in work out areas and the pool area. Food, glass bottles and soda cans are prohibited in any workout area. Please dispose of any litter properly.

  6. Assumption of Risk:  Recreation activities involve the risk of injury. Participation in recreation activities is purely voluntary and participants assume the risk of injury or even death while participating in recreational activities at Georgia State University. All participants are encouraged to have regular medical check-ups and to carry medical insurance coverage. All Student Recreation Center members and guests are required to sign a waiver prior to participation in any activity.
