President Carl V. Patton is the chief executive officer of Georgia State University. The academic, physical and financial well-being of the university are his principal concerns. He oversees all university functions and is the primary representative of the university to all individuals and entities. He develops the vision for the future of the university, which is then implemented through a strategic plan, a master plan, and annual action plans.
