MARTA

Attention GSU MARTA riders

If you missed online loading during 1st to 15th a month, WAIT until the 23rd to load at a rail station kiosk.  I.e. September 23rd through October 22nd purchase at kiosk will load October pass.

The GSU community will have a more convenient way of purchasing a GSU discounted MARTA Breeze pass every month beginning Monday, August 20th, 2012.

Students, faculty, and staff who wish to purchase a GSU discounted monthly MARTA pass for the month of October will need to visit the customer service counters at Auxiliary and Support Services between  August 20th and September 15th.  A valid PantherCard is necessary in order to purchase specially marked Georgia State University discounted plastic Breeze Cards.

Once a new MARTA Breeze Card is obtained, for future monthly passes, students, faculty and staff (except those on payroll deduction) will need to log on to Parking Web between the 1st and 15th of each month to purchase the following month’s card in order to receive the maximum discount available for their card.

Faculty and Staff that would like to participate in the MARTA Breeze Card pay-roll deduction program, should fill out a MARTA Authorization form and bring it to HR. Existing Payroll deduction participants only need to get a new Breeze Card.

ENJOY THE BENEFITS

Easy to Reload
The new Breeze Card is reloadable online.  This means that students, faculty and staff no longer have to visit Auxiliary and Support Services in person to pick-up the next month’s pass.

Discounted
If reloaded online between the 1st and 15th of each month, students pay $61 and staff pay $77 instead of the full retail price of $95 if purchased directly through MARTA.

Durable
Breeze Cards are made of durable plastic, and can either be reloaded online or through any MARTA kiosk although kiosk prices are higher because they do not receive the University subsidy.

Limited Protection Plan
There is also a limited protection plan on all Breeze Cards purchased.  As long as the card is reported lost, stolen, damaged, or non-functional before the 22nd of each month at Auxiliary and Support Services, the card will be replaced and will still have that month’s benefits. There is a small administration fee for replacement.
