Freshman Convocation
3 - 5 p.m. – Georgia State University Sports Arena
Freshman Convocation is a formal induction ceremony to welcome all new freshmen to Georgia State. The University president officially inducts the new freshman class into the campus community through a medallion ceremony and recitation of the Freshman Pledge. Festivities continue afterward with a reception for the Class of 2013 and their families. For more information, contact the Office of New Student Programs & Parent Relations. This event is mandatory for all freshman students, both residential and commuter.
