About Us
Panther Welcome is the official Georgia State University welcome program occurring over the first two weeks of each fall semester. The annual welcome program begins with Freshman Convocation and Freshman Block Party. Over 50 traditional Panther Welcome events include the pool party, Georgia State Idol, and the annual Student Organization Street Fair. Panther Welcome is designed for both new and returning students and welcomes over 18,000 students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni each year.

- Download the SCVNGR app on iPhone or Android. No Smartphone? Play by SMS!
- Start the SCVNGR app and create an account.
- Once completed, tap the Treks icon and select the GSU Panther Welcome Hunt.
- Click on the first location, then choose a challenge to complete! Once complete, go back to the list of places and pick the next location. Try to visit them all!
When you score enough points (50+), you'll unlock a special invitation to an exclusive event just for players with free food, give-a-ways, and prizes. Get a head start by finding out which Panther Welcome events include a SCVNGR clue by looking for events with a * throughout the website.
