Panther Welcome
Get ready for Panther Welcome 2012, a celebration of the start of a new school year! Panther Welcome kicks off with Freshman Convocation on August 19 and continues with over 50 events, activities, and programs sponsored by offices and student organizations across campus. Meet, connect and reconnect with your peers, and become familiar with people and places at Georgia State!
Keep up with all the events by checking the website often. Get up to the minute announcements and event details on Facebook and Twitter, and earn points and rewards by playing SCVNGR along the way.

- Download the SCVNGR app on iPhone or Android. No Smartphone? Play by SMS!
- Start the SCVNGR app and create an account.
- Once completed, tap the Treks icon and select the GSU Panther Welcome Hunt.
- Click on the first location, then choose a challenge to complete! Once complete, go back to the list of places and pick the next location. Try to visit them all!
When you score enough points (50+), you'll unlock a special invitation to an exclusive event just for players with free food, give-a-ways, and prizes. Get a head start by finding out which Panther Welcome events include a SCVNGR clue by looking for events with a * throughout the website.
