Meet the Supervisors

Darrick Owens

Associate Registrar of Enrollment Services

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Mississippi (’01) and currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Management from Troy University.

Prior to my arrival at Georgia State University, I worked at Florida State University in Employee Relations and previously played in the National Football League (NFL). In my professional football career, I played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Francisco 49ers.  I have learned what it means to be a team player and I apply it every day in our Enrollment Service Center and Call Center. The Enrollment Service Center and Call Center is my playing field and I try to assist students, alumni, and staff in winning each day.

Georgia State University is an exciting and vibrant campus in downtown Atlanta. My team and I look forward to serving you with all your Enrollment Services needs in the areas of Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Accounts. Our vision statement is “To foster a rewarding and collaborative environment where our services are an exciting option for students, alumni and staff."

Favorite Quote: "Winning is not a sometime thing: it’s an all the time thing. You don’t win once in a while; you don’t do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing."  — Vince Lombardi
