Upward Bound Math-Science
UB Math-Science Center
The project prepares high school students for college programs that lead to careers in math and science. Services include intensive instruction in advanced level courses along with academic advisement and career counseling. Students are afforded the opportunity to study under the tutelage of dynamic teachers from the fields of math, science, and technology and to work along side college students who also serve as mentors. Through comprehensive instruction, students gain the skills to effectively compete in a society increasingly shaped by science and technology.
All activities are held in state-of-the-art classroom facilities. Classroom instruction is supplemental with field trips and exposure to cultural enrichment activities. The program features a six-week summer component with year round follow-up services.
