GSU Office of Emergency Management

GSU Office of Emergency Management

Welcome

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) supports Georgia State University’s teaching, research, and public service mission by providing the university community and the institution’s constituents with programs and projects in emergency planning, training, mitigation, response and recovery.

As part of the University Police Department, our goal is to provide a safe and secure environment by preparing the university to manage and recover from any type of emergency or disaster. OEM provides specialized expertise in emergency program development by creating, revising and maintaining university-wide policy and plans related to emergency operations, essential communications, fire safety and strategic security initiatives.

Please take the time to review emergency management services and become familiar with the unique functions of this Office through this website.

As always, your feedback and comments are most welcome.
