Outreach Programs
OAASS&P focuses on establishing and nurturing friendships with the Georgia State University community and developing links with the Atlanta community at large. Our outreach programs include:
African American New Student Orientation Services
OAASS&P collaborates with INCEPT (Marketplace/Orientations), the Office of Admissions, and the GSU Welcome Center to provide diverse orientation services.
First Fridays
Students and black student organizations have opportunities to gain exposure to the university community and guest speakers, recruit new members, share ideas, showcase past and upcoming events,and network.

Forums/Receptions
Student leaders meet with African American faculty, administrators, staff, and community leaders to exchange resource information and develop networks.
Volunteer Services
Students provide in-house and community volunteer service with the OAASS&P to create avenues of friendship and work experience for career development and community service.
