ATLANTA - Dr. Drew Pinsky, the host of "Dr. Drew on Call" on CNN's HLN, will speak at Georgia State University at 3 p.m., Feb. 14 in the Student Center Ballroom as the third speaker in the Centennial Distinguished Speakers Series.

“Dr. Drew,” as he is widely known, hosts the popular radio show “Loveline,” in which he talks with listeners about love, sex and relationships. He also hosts the HLN television show “Dr. Drew on Call” and is the star of “Celebrity Rehab,” a show about celebrities facing addiction and treatment.

Pinsky is a physician, certified in internal and addiction medicine and a member of the staff at Huntington Memorial Hospital. He is also an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.

“Campus Events is delighted to have Dr. Drew Pinsky at Georgia State as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series this semester,” said Nicole Holman, public relations director for Georgia State’s Campus Events Council. “We believe Dr. Drew can give great advice to students about health, alcohol, drugs and relationships, just in time for Valentine’s Day.”

Dr. Drew’s presentation, “An Afternoon with Dr. Drew,” will be very interactive, Holman said. He plans to meet with a few audience members before his speech to gauge students’ interests. He will also host a 40-minute question-and-answer session after the speech.

Dr. Drew is the author of five books, including the New York Times bestseller, “The Mirror Effect: How Celebrity Narcissism is Seducing America” and “Cracked, Life on the Edge in a Rehab Clinic.” He is working on a new book, “Recovering Intimacy,” which will be published later this year.
