Georgia State students who attended the Distinguished Speakers Series this semester were able to meet an astronaut, hear an R&B artist sing and have a book signed by a best-selling author.
The Distinguished Speaker Series ended April 12 with Deepak Chopra, an international leader in the field of mind and body healing. Chopra is founder and chairman of the Chopra Foundation and the Chopra Center for Wellbeing.
Acclaimed journalist and film documentary producer Lisa Ling kicked off the series Jan. 24. Other speakers included nine-time GRAMMY Award winning recording artist and humanitarian, John Legend; Kathryn Stockett, best-selling author of the “The Help,” and astronaut and retired U.S. Navy Captain Mark Kelly.
