Georgia State University's scientific research profile has increased over past decades, with collaborative and interdisciplinary centers focused on solving problems and mysteries in numerous fields, from developing better drugs to cure diseases, to understanding the complexities of the brain.
In the two years that it has been open, the Parker H. Petit Science Center at Georgia State has become a nerve center of scientific research and education for the university. The facility hosts programs and research in biology, chemistry, nutrition, physical and respiratory therapies, public health and the Neuroscience Institute.
