Blue Lot at Turner Field will not be available for parking on Thursday, Sept 8th

To: Students who park at Turner Field

Due to Kaiser-Permanente Corporate Run/Walk scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, September 8, 2011, parking at Turner Field will not be available during the entire day. 

We encourage you to use public transportation days such as MARTA http://www.itsmarta.com/rail-schedules-or-route.aspx or public bus services http://www.xpressga.com/ for your area as campus parking may be at capacity on this day. There are several parking decks close to campus that provide discount parking rates for GSU students such as:

  • Pete Hackney Parking deck at the corner of Jesse Hill Jr. Drive and Decatur Street (just around the corner from the SK&N lots) for $5 with ID
  • Hurt Plaza parking deck is at 33 Hurt Plaza and Edgewood Avenue across from Woodruff Park and allows students to park for $6.00 per day with ID.
  • SunTrust Tower parking at Peachtree Center Avenue and Baker Street allows students to park all day for $5.00 with ID.
  • Equitable parking deck is on the corner of Williams and Fairlie Streets near the Aderhold Building.
  • Parking lot at 15 Wall Street is located between Central Ave. and Pryor Street.
  • Steve Polk Plaza at 55 MLK Drive for $5
  • There are several other flat parking decks near campus.
