Student Leadership Series

Student Leadership Series

The Student Leadership Series is designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of leadership and to assist them in developing a personal philosophy of leadership. The programs in the series are developed based on the three dimensions of the Social Change Model. The programs are not lectures. You can expect an interactive learning experience where facilitators will engage you in conversations and encourage you to participate in activities. Case studies, self-assessment exercises, group activities, and open discussion are incorporated in each session to make learning more meaningful and relevant to students.

Each academic year, students have the opportunity to earn the Georgia State Student Leadership Certificate through their participation in the series. Students who attend seven programs in the series during the course of the academic year will be recognized at the annual Royal Flame Awards held each April. Attendance at seven programs including one overview programs and two programs from each track – individual, group, and society – is required to be recognized for this award.
