Katrina Transient Students

Attention students displaced by Hurricane Katrina and who accepted Georgia State’s offer to enroll as a transient students during Fall 2005 semester: If you are unable to qualify as Georgia residents and are applying to attend Georgia State this Spring 2006 semester, your out-of-state tuition will be waived for one year to allow you and your family time to possibly establish Georgia residency. This ONLY applies to students who accepted Georgia State’s initial emergency offer and who were enrolled fall semester (Fall 2005). Students who have applied for Spring 2006 as their first term of attendance will be treated as any transfer student. There is no total fee waiver for any Spring 2006 semester students displaced by Hurricane Katrina. (Posted January 3, 2006)
