Karishma Saini

Class of: 2008
Hometown and High School: Warner Robins, GA ; Houston County High School
Major/Minor: Psychology with Biology and Chemistry concentrations

I chose to attend Georgia State University because I could expand my perspective and grow through interactions with the diverse student and faculty community; as well as take advantage of the amazing opportunities of a large metropolitan university, while contributing to the campus life at Georgia State.

Campus Activities and Organizations: Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority, Inc., Student Government Association, Intercultural Ambassadors, Colleges Against Cancer -Relay for Life Committee, and Peer Health Educators

Most Memorable Georgia State experience: Attending my first Basketball pep rally (Midnight Madness)! Everyone was wearing blue and white and the energy was contagious...I felt like I was a part of a great family here at State!

If you could be a cartoon character, who would you be and why? Ariel from The Little Mermaid because we're both talented women who love meeting new people, exploring new perspectives and learning new things everyday.

Favorite Georgia State tradition: The Homecoming golf cart parade!!

What advice would you give to incoming students? Welcome to Georgia State! You have so many wonderful opportunities ahead of you, take advantage of them, you will grow in so many positive ways by getting involved on campus and in our Atlanta community.

After I graduate from Georgia State, I hope to attend graduate school, obtain my doctorate, open a non-profit community clinic and help people help themselves live healthier, happier lives.
