Units of IS&T

IS&T is organized into six major units that collectively plan, develop, operate and support technology for the Georgia State University community. The division is led by the Associate Provost for Information Systems and Technology/Chief Information Officer (CIO), J.L. Albert. The units of IS&T and their major functions are provided below.

Office of the Associate Provost for IS&T and Chief Information Officer (CIO)

The Associate Provost for Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) and CIO provides direction and leadership in the planning and provisioning of information technology to support Georgia State University's goals and objectives.

Technology Infrastructure (TI)

TI provides stable infrastructures of network and server components to meet the growing needs of the university.

University Educational Technology Services (UETS)

UETS supports instructional technology, digital media and technology training services.

University Information Services (UIS)

UIS is responsible for the university's administrative enterprise applications.

Library Services Support (LSS)

LSS is responsible for the support and research of technologies for document archival, library applications and library services via the web.

Planning and Strategic Initiatives (P&SI)

P&SI plans, develops and manages strategic technology initiatives.

Advanced Campus Services (ACS)

ACS supports research computing for the university.
