Networks and Servers

Georgia State's technology infrastructure employs a single data network and many servers that operate university-wide applications and systems. Account Creation

  • Netware

Network Infrastructure

  • Installation of wireless access points
  • Installation of network cables  
  • Activation of network ports
  • Changes to network port configuration 
  • Installation of IP telephones
  • DNS/DHCP assignments

Server Infrastructure

  • Connecting a printer to the network 
  • Sending e-mail broadcast 
  • Assigning access rights to network files 
  • Recovering back-ups 
  • Netware OS upgrades
  • Creation of mailing lists (mailman)  
  • DNS/DHCP requests
  • Generation of SSL certificates
