IS&T

Advisory Committees

IS&T works with representatives from all areas of the campus community to ensure technology needs are accounted for and satisfied. The following are some committees that provide guidance to IS&T.

Senate Information Systems & Technology Committee (ISAT)

The Senate ISAT committee brings together representatives from the faculty, staff and student bodies to:

  • Develop long-range plans for the computing needs of the university.
  • Advise the Associate Provost for IS&T on academic and administrative matters.
  • Review IS&T's annual programmatic plans and budgetary submissions.
  • Provide a liaison between IS&T and the Information Technology Security and Support Subcommittee (ITSSS).

Information Technology Steering Group (ITSG)

The ITSG was formed to advise the Associate Provost for IS&T on technology needs that support the university's mission and goals and to prioritize the technology projects that IS&T is asked to undertake. The  ITSG will insure IS&T is aligned with Georgia State's strategic initiatives, provide high-level project priorities, scheduling and resource allocation, set policy and assist in funding institutional initiatives.

Additional Committees

Classroom Facilities Council (CFC)

The CFC addresses questions related to classrooms and is composed of representatives of the faculty, classroom scheduling, technology support, security, facilities and maintenance.  The group meets monthly and takes an integrated approach to providing the best for our teaching and learning environments.
