Distribute a Production Message

  1. Draft a text message for distribution to a particular group.
  2. Have the text message approved by the appropriate authority. (See Approval List for Broadcast Messages).
  3. Send an e-mail to the University Help Center (help@gsu.edu) requesting distribution of the approved text message. The e-mail must include:
    • The approved text message.
    • The mailing list (as an attachment) of names and e-mail addresses to which you are sending the message.
    • The requested date of distribution.
    • Your name, phone numbers, and e-mail address.

The Help Center will verify approval of the request, generate a Remedy Ticket, and forward the Ticket and e-mail text file to a technician. The technician will initiate the broadcast to the list, close out the ticket, and contact the originator (by phone or e-mail) to confirm the date of the broadcast posting.
