Georgia State University will be closed for winter break from Saturday, December 22, 2012, through Sunday, January 6, 2013. We will reopen on Monday, January 7.
If you are experiencing an immigration emergency, please call Georgia State University Police at 404-413-3333, and they will connect you with the appropriate assistance. Examples of an immigration emergency include:
- Detainment at a U.S. port of entry by immigration officials
- Arrest or incarceration in the United States by police or immigration officials
- Immediate threat of deportation
Please note: Lack of a travel signature on your I-20 or DS-2019 is not considered an immigration emergency.
If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. A life-threatening emergency is a situation that poses a severe, immediate threat to your physical and/or mental health and which, if not immediately treated, may result in permanent damage or death.
For all other non-life-threatening emergencies, please call Georgia State University police at 404-413-3333.
